Forward

I wake up cold
The winter's air chokes me
My bed holds me back
I don't want to wake up

I don't want to wake up
There's nothing to look forward to
Life has no meaning other than the meaning of life
I just can't go on living like this

I just can't go on living like this
I got to snap back to reality
Life goes on indefinately
I'll look forward to pleasant things

I'll look forward to pleasant things
Like the warmth of a caring mother
An advice of a wise father
A kiss and a hug from a loving sister

river flow

When you told me that you didn't love me
that didn't hurt me just as much
When you kissed another image
that didn't pinch me twice as hard
When you said you'll love only me
only to give your heart away the next minute
that didn't shatter me as much as when we were apart
It's when you said I didn't love you,
that was when the river flowed tears

tears flowed down like a river last night
my cheeks the banks of the river
to think I couldn't love you
perhaps I couldn't love you true enough
I didn't love you, I didn't care
I was being foolish
like I was last night sitting down there
the river flowed like a silly lost kid
trying to find his mother desperately
I sat there crying wondering what was wrong
But I end up sighing, painlessly.
To My Son
written by my mum.

6 pounds of joy was what you brought
17 June 1978 we had not forgot.
I was pleasantly surprised
When I heard your cries
In my drowsy mind I heard as I lay
The nurses comment ‘what a lucky lady’
It’s a boy!
What a joy!

You were a good baby,
So proud in our arms we carry.
I got a bouquet from Dad,
Who said I deserved the best.

It seems just like a flash to Dad and me
To primary, secondary school and then to poly.
And soon you are away
To Brisbane, Australia
We miss you and worry
But you made it, we are happy
From Dad and me
Happy birthday
